Our commercial group has substantial experience with project, commercial, real estate and oil and gas financings; real estate acquisition, development, construction, disposition, leasing and foreclosure; mergers, acquisitions and sales of large blocks of assets; the creation and governance of corporations, partnerships, and other business entities; loan workouts and restructurings; commercial contract disputes; personal property acquisitions, financings and foreclosures; commercial, working capital and equipment loans; leveraged buyouts; tax-free bond financing and restructure transactions; loan and asset portfolio sales; multi-lender participations; condominium creation and management; office, retail and warehouse leasing; and dispositions of loan and asset pools through contractual, competitive bid and auction processes.

Our attorneys also have considerable expertise in virtually all types of business litigation, with an emphasis on representation of corporate and financial institutions in complex civil litigation, contract, real estate and environmental disputes, defense of sophisticated corporate direct liability and veil piercing claims against publicly-held companies, labor issues, and creditors’ rights matters. In addition, we have been involved in defense litigation representing health insurance carriers (including ERISA litigation); bankruptcy matters, ranging from single asset bankruptcies to complex chapter 11 reorganizations; and personal injury defense, including both products liability and premises liability suits. A number of the Firm’s attorneys have experience in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution techniques, both as advocate and as mediator/arbitrator.
